PETS ALIVE SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC TRANSPORTPets ALIVE, a Bloomington-based non-profit organization dedicated to ending pet overpopulation in south-central Indiana, was thrilled to announce the opening of their regional low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic in February 2005. The two-level, 3,800 square foot building is located at 6522 Empire Road, Bloomington, IN; just east of the intersection of Hwy 37 and Old St. Rd 37 South, 2.9 miles directly south of the Monroe County Animal Shelter on Old St. Rd. 37. Spay-neuter surgeries will be offered for dogs and cats and for healthy puppies and kittens weighing at least 2 lbs. State mandated rabies vaccinations and standard immunizations will also be offered at the time of surgery. Surgeries will be performed by Pets ALIVE's full-time veterinarian Dr. Nancy Ferguson, who, after being in general private practice for many years, chose to specialize in spay-neuter surgery and worked at the FACE Spay-Neuter Clinic in Indianapolis for almost 5 years. Spay-Neuter League Inc., Terre Haute Mayor Burke, and the Environmental Protection Division of the Terre Haute Police Department welcome Pets ALIVE's Spay/Neuter Transport Outreach program to Terre Haute! Pets ALIVE is offering free transport service to and from the Clinic, as well as reduced fees for high quality spay-neuter services. They are also developing a referral base of veterinarians through the area. The Terre Haute Spay-Neuter Transports are scheduled to take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. For those taking advantage of the Terre Haute Spay-Neuter Transport service, fees for surgery are currently:
